Housing Starts signal bottom?


May Housing StartsThe Commerce Department released their May 2009 Housing Starts data.  As shown by the graphic, May provided a seasonally adjusted month-to-month increase of 17.2%.  This shows good bounce from April’s record low of 454,000 starts, and it may be a leading indicator that the housing slump is slowly easing.
