Cincinnati is tied for 7th – worst-selling housing markets in the U.S. Forbes analysis lists Cincinnati tied for 7th with (you guessed it) Cleveland, Ohio. Both metropolitan areas have been hit hard by the recent unemployment challenges, and it has affected the rate of home sales.

According to the Forbes report:

“Like Cleveland and other Rust Belt cities, Cincinnati suffers from a lack of jobs–the city is 11% unemployed–which has cut sales dramatically and left a glut of unsold houses behind. Inventory in the city rose 48% between 2008 and 2009.”
